Given below is a song titled ‘Chhoti see kahaani se’ from the film Ijaazat with its translation:
Chhoti see kahaani se,
With a short story
Bareeshon ki paani se saare waade bhar gayi,
With the rain water all promises were fulfilled
Naa jaane kyo, dil bhar gaya, Naa jaane kyo, aankh bhar gayi
I don’t know why the heart became heavy and the eyes welled up
Shaakho pe patte the, patton pe boonde thi
Branches had leaves, leaves had droplets
Boondo mein paani thaa, paani mein aansoo thi
Droplets had water and the water had tears

Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful song. Just one thing about the first line, here it’s not waade or promises, but waadi which means valley. Plz check.
Thanks!
I think the word in second line is waadee (valley) and not waade(promises).
