The song Yeh kaha aa gaye hum…is from the film Silsila (meaning- chain) directed by Yash Chopra. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar and Rekha. It is said to be

loosely inspired by the alleged real life love triangle of Amitabh-Jaya-Rekha.

The lyrics of the film are written by Javed Akhtar and given below are the words of the  a poem which Amitabh Bachchan recites in the song Yeh Kaha aa gaye hum (where have we come).
