Did you know – prolific Urdu writer Ismat Chughtai appeared in a critically acclaimed film called Junoon (meaning obsession) directed by Shyam Benegal. This film is based on Ruskin Bond’s fictional novella “A flight of Pigeons” set around the Indian rebellion of 1857. She also wrote the dialogues for the film along with Satyadev Dubey.
